This is where it all started. A 7 year old Tara and a cute baby goat. Little Lady won all our hearts.
The pairs 1st show was the Tri-County 4-H Fair in Herington. Gary Yokum made kind remarks about the little "crossbred" doe and gave her a blue ribbon. We were hooked!
After the show we inquired about an Alpine mate for our Little Lady. Mr. Yocum had sold his Poverty Gultch herd by this time, but gave us names of two breeders in our area who had purchased goats from his herd. The idea of "breeding up" had been planted.
